Abstract

The invention discloses a heat storage material for a process for preparing propylene through catalytic dehydrogenation of propane and a preparation method of the heat storage material. The heat storage material is a supported composite metal oxide xMaOb/carrier, M is one or more of Ba, Mg, Mn, Zr, Ca, Ce, Bi, Cu, Co, Mo, Fe, Ni, Na, Nb and Sb, a is equal to 1-3, b is equal to 1-3, x is the loading amount of the composite metal oxide, and the value of x is 10-30 wt%. The synthesized heat storage material is mixed with a catalyst to be used in a reaction process for preparing propylene through the catalytic dehydrogenation of the propane, and thus, the selectivity can be improved under the condition that the conversion rate of the catalyst is not changed, heat is released in a reduction stage and an air regeneration stage, and bed temperature distribution is more uniform; and the heat storage material is expected to prolong the service life of the catalyst in industrial application reduce regenerated air inlet temperature or regenerated air flow and reduce energy consumption of a device.
