A middle/high voltage switch cabinet temperature monitoring system based on electronic nose technology is disclosed. Gas storing and releasing devices are arranged at points where overtemperatures are easy to happen in a middle/high voltage switch cabinet; and a field detection terminal is arranged at the bottom of the middle/high voltage switch cabinet, and connected to a background server through a wireless local area network. The middle/high voltage switch cabinet temperature monitoring system is simple in structure and convenient for mounting because only the gas storing and releasing devices are needed to be arranged at the points where overtemperatures are easy to happen in the switch cabinet; and overtemperature signals are transmitted through CO2 gas so that determination is accurate and quick without causing new fault point to the switch cabinet. The system solves the problem that a contactless system is incapable of accurate positioning. Besides, the system is capable of detecting and pre-warning the overtemperature state of the contact of the switch cabinet accurately and quickly; and the system is low in cost and capable of effectively avoiding the burnout accident of the switch cabinet.
