The invention discloses foam warm mix
asphalt capable of improving water stability of a mixture. The
asphalt is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 100 parts of matrix
asphalt, 1-3 parts of water, and 0.5-1.25 parts of cetyl trimethyl
ammonium bromide. The invention also discloses a preparation method of the foam warm mix asphalt; and the preparation method comprises thefollowing steps: (1) heating the matrix asphalt to a
molten state, pouring the molten asphalt into an asphalt tank of a foaming
machine, and performing circulating flow; (2) adding the cetyl trimethylammonium
bromide into the matrix asphalt of the asphalt tank, and performing uniform mixing under stirring; and (3) when the asphalt reaches foaming temperature of 150-170 DEG C, giving a foaming instruction to the foaming
machine, and pouring water into the hot asphalt for foaming to obtain the foam warm mix asphalt. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the cetyl trimethyl
ammonium bromide is added into the asphalt to modify the foam asphalt, so that cohesive work of the asphalt is reinforced; and the cetyl trimethyl
ammonium bromide is added, so that the adhesion of the aggregate-asphalt is reinforced, and water stability of the foam warm mix asphalt mixture is improved.
