The invention provides a method for recycling spherical nickel oxide after mechanical activation using three-section countercurrent acid leaching. The nickel oxide is in a spherical shape or an ellipsoid shape, high in hardness, large in particle size and low in activity, the spherical nickel oxide is subjected to the mechanical activation to the particle size is 50 micrometers or below, three-section countercurrent leaching is carried out on the nickel oxide after the mechanical activation by using sulfuric acid or other inorganic acid with different concentrations from low to high, a properamount of pure and easily-acid-soluble materials are added into a leaching nickel solution, a reducing agent or an oxidizing agent is also added to consume acid until the pH value is 4.0 or above, andthe acid-consuming leaching solution is used for synthesize a ternary precursor, preparing a high-purity nickel plate, nickel sulfate and the like. The method is short in process, easy to implement,high in nickel oxide recycling rate, low in cost, less in investment, easy to realize industrialization and remarkable in economic benefit.
