15 results about "Random access" patented technology

In computer science, random access (more precisely and more generally called direct access) is the ability to access an arbitrary element of a sequence in equal time or any datum from a population of addressable elements roughly as easily and efficiently as any other, no matter how many elements may be in the set. It is typically contrasted to sequential access.

Systems and methods for error resilience in video communication systems

Systems and methods for error resilient transmission and for random access in video communication systems are provided. The video communication systems are based on single-layer, scalable video, or simulcast video coding with temporal scalability, which may be used in video communication systems. A set of video frames or pictures in a video signal transmission is designated for reliable or guaranteed delivery to receivers using secure or high reliability links, or by retransmission techniques. The reliably-delivered video frames are used as reference pictures for resynchronization of receivers with the transmitted video signal after error incidence and for random access.

A moving picture recording device includes a random-access, computer-readable and writable storage medium to provide non-linear access to recorded clips. The device provides digital capture of both video and audio information. Multiple data paths are provided to allow recording to and playback from the storage medium. Lists are maintained to manage recorded clips and edited events. An outtake list of deleted clips is also maintained. An event list includes a list of video events including clips from the storage medium as well as other video sources including a camera or external video. With switching circuitry, recorded clips can be viewed during editing while live images are output to a program output. An editing interface includes dedicated keys for performing standard recording functions as well as a display with associated input keys having adaptive functions. The textual display indicates the function currently associated with the input key. This display provides a simple interface for editing video without a mouse or other external input device or complex graphical user interface. The interface also may allow a user to input a value, stored as an attribute of a clip, that represents the merit of the clip. These attributes may be used to rank and/or select clips.

The embodiment of the invention discloses a video encoding method, a video decoding method and related devices. The method comprises the following steps: selecting at least one inter-frame encoding frame in a plurality of inter-frame encoding frames of video data by an encoder to serve as a virtual random access frame, and separately setting corresponding sequential hierarchy numerical values for a plurality of intra-frame encoding frames and the inter-frame encoding frames in the plurality of inter-frame encoding frames of the video data, wherein the plurality of inter-frame encoding frames carrying the sequential hierarchy numerical values comprise virtual random access frames and ordinary frames; and sending the video data carrying the sequential hierarchy numerical values to a decoder, so that when the decoder detects a playing operation of a target ordinary frame in the video data, the decoder decodes the target ordinary frame according to the sequential hierarchy numerical value corresponding to the target ordinary frame and the sequential hierarchy numerical value corresponding to the virtual random access frame that is in front of the decoding sequence of the target ordinary frame and is closest to the target ordinary frame. By adoption of the method disclosed by the invention, the random access efficiency can be improved while the video encoding efficiency is improved.

User equipment and base station participating in prioritized random access

ActiveUS20200275477A1Enhanced random access procedurePower managementReal-time computingRandom access
The present disclosure relates to a user equipment, with a processor which upon being triggered by a random access events, determines random access transmission parameters to be used by the UE for transmitting a random access message to its base station. At least part of the random access transmission parameters are determined based on the random access event that triggered the transmission of the random access message and on random access configuration information. The random access configuration information associates each of a plurality of random access events with a set of random access transmission parameters among a plurality of random access transmission parameters usable by the user equipment to transmit a random access message to the base station. A transmitter of the UE transmits the random access message to the base station using the determined random access transmission parameters.

Information processing method and terminal

The embodiments of the invention disclose an information processing method and a terminal. The method is applied to the terminal, and the terminal can communicate with a base station. The method comprises the steps of: detecting at least two first data signals which are sent by a base station; based on the at least two first data signals, acquiring first characteristic parameters corresponding to the at least two first data signals respectively; based on the acquired first characteristic parameters, determining a first repeat number that the terminal sends a random access request; and sending the random access request to the base station according to the first repeat number. By adopting the solution, the frequency that the terminal sends a preamble can be accurately determined, and the success rate of random access of the terminal can be improved.

Operation method in dormant bwp based on initial access, and terminal using method

The present specification provides a method by which a terminal performs initial access in a wireless communication system, comprising: transmitting a random access (RA) preamble to a base station; receiving a random access response (RAR) from the base station; receiving dormant bandwidth part (BWP) configuration information from the base station, the dormant BWP configuration information being information about a downlink BWP used as a dormant BWP, from among one or more downlink BWPs set to the terminal; receiving, from the base station, downlink control information (DCI) notifying the activation of the dormant BWP; and stopping physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring on the dormant BWP, wherein a BWP inactivity timer, which is a timer for the transition to a default BWP, is not used on the basis of the activation of the dormant BWP.
