Adaptive device-initiated polling

A method includes periodically sending a polling call to an enterprise system outside the firewall at a first polling rate during normal operating conditions, monitoring for a fault condition, periodically sending polling calls to the device outside the firewall at a second polling rate when a fault condition is detected, the second polling rate being higher than the first polling rate. The second polling rate is used as result of a fault condition. The method also includes sending a problem report with the polling calls when the fault condition is detected.

Relay protection and failure location system for power distribution network

The invention relates to a system used in the area of electrical power to locate fault rapidly. The system is composed of two parts i.e. multi measuring and executing units as well as communication channels to connect the said units. The measuring and executing units consist of current transformer, polarity detecting and comparing relay, first communication interface unit, second communication interface unit and circuit breaker. The communication channels consists of protecting channel and the channel utilized to locate fault on whole network. Whether the fault of equipment happens or not is judged by detecting and comparing the similarities and differences of polarity of electrical current fault component which has passed through the protected switch gear. The communicating means is used to connect all relays that protect the same equipment, it realizes relay protection for all distributing line, distributing bus line and distribution transformer. Personal staffs are able to find out and locate the fault location since this information of current polarity has been passed to dispatching center by communication means. The system is independent of particular configuration of distribution network and does not utilize information of voltage fault. The configuration of the system is simple and easy to realize.

Data transmission method and equipment

InactiveUS6563789B1Network traffic/resource managementError preventionTransmission protocolMobile business
The invention relates to a data transmission method and equipment in a telecommunication system, particularly in a situation where the maximum data rate of a traffic channel is equal to one user data rate at a terminal interface. A mobile station inserts terminal interface status information in redundant parts of redundant user data elements of an end-to-end transmission protocol and sends them through the traffic channel without that the status information raises the data rate. If no user data elements are received at the terminal interface, auxiliary frames, in which the terminal interface status information can be transmitted, are generated. A mobile services switching centre separates the terminal interface status information from the redundant data elements or auxiliary frames at the receiving end.

The present invention discloses a method for detecting a resonance point of a reduced-order generalized integrator based on a device for identifying relationship between a transmission line and a transformer. The method actively transmits a carrier signal with a specified frequency to a power grid through the device for identifying the relationship between the transmission line and the transformer. Firstly, voltage and current signals of the power grid at the access point of the device for identifying the relationship between the transmission line and the transformer are collected; secondly, according to the extracted voltage and current signal data, the harmonic voltage and harmonic current signals with the injection frequency are extracted by using the computational formula of the reduced-order generalized integrator; then, according to the cosine similarity formula, the cosine similarity coefficient of the extracted harmonic signals with the injection frequency are calculated; finally, the resonant frequency range is judged by the calculated similarity coefficient, and the range is further reduced after the above steps are repeated by changing the injection frequency. With the solution, the calculation amount is small, and the resonant frequency range of power grid can be detected in real time.
