The invention relates to the technical field of
vehicle control, in particular to a control method for avoiding a low efficiency area of an adjustable speed motor of a
hybrid electric vehicle. The control method comprises the following steps of S1, calculating the speed
lower limit n<ec_dwn> of an engine when the adjustable speed motor is in the charging state; S2, calculating the speed upper limit n<ed_up> of the engine when the adjustable speed motor is in the driving state; S3, calculating the target required speed n<dem> of the engine; going on S4 if the target required speed n<dem> of theengine is higher than the speed
lower limit n<ec_dwn> of the engine, or the target required speed n<dem> of the engine is lower than the speed upper speed n<ec_up> of the engine; or else going on S5;S4, controlling the speed of the engine to the target required speed n<dem> of the engine; S5, correcting the target required speed n<dem> of the engine, and enabling the adjustable speed motor to avoid the low efficiency area; and controlling the speed of the engine to the corrected target required speed n<deml> of the engine. According to the control method, the adjustable speed motor is enabled to avoid the low efficiency area, so that the
electric power is prevented from being converted into thermal power completely; and it is ensured that the adjustable speed motor works properly.
