26 results about "Digital camera" patented technology

A digital camera or digicam is a camera that captures photographs in digital memory. Most cameras produced today are digital, and while there are still dedicated digital cameras, many more cameras are now being incorporated into mobile devices, portable touchscreen computers, which can, among many other purposes, use their cameras to initiate live video-telephony and directly edit and upload imagery to others. However, high-end, high-definition dedicated cameras are still commonly used by professionals.

The invention relates to a method for measuring tunnel lining cracks. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring an image of a crack by a digital camera and measuring the acquisition distance by a laser ranger; selecting an area needing to be measured from the acquired image so as to prevent processing deviation due to excessively big picture and relatively small target crack, and changing the selected area into a gray image; determining a threshold for the selected gray image and performing binarization image division to obtain a target area; extracting a white area only comprising the crack from the target area; extracting the border of the crack to obtain a border graph; calculating the pixel width of the crack by a minimum distance method; and obtaining the actual width of the crack according to a predetermined calibration proportion between the actual pixel size and the photographing distance. The method has the advantages of low cost, high speed, convenient carrying and high measurement precision.

An image vibration-compensating apparatus and a method thereof are provided. The apparatus and the method are applied in an image-capturing apparatus, such as a digital still camera (DSC) or digital video recorder (DVR), for compensating image vibration when capturing an image. The image vibration-compensating apparatus comprises an adaptive edge extractor, a sub-region movement detector, a frame motion calculator, and a correcting vector generator. The image vibration-compensating apparatus analyses the difference between the current image and the previous image, and outputs the correcting motion vector to achieve the function of image vibration-compensation. In the image vibration-compensating method, an accumulate compensation mode is used to prevent fast motion of an image frame which will cause discomfort of the user's eyes when a relatively large image vibration occurs in a short period.
