In accordance with various aspects of the present invention, a method and circuit for reducing power consumption of a power strip is provided. In an exemplary embodiment, a power strip is configured for reducing or eliminating power during idle mode by disengaging an outlet from power input. A power strip may include two or more outlets and two or more outlet circuits, with AC power input connected to the outlets through the outlet circuit(s), which may include a current transformer, a control circuit, and a switch. The current transformer secondary winding provides an output power level signal proportional to the outlet load. If behavior of the current transformer secondary winding indicates that the outlet is drawing substantially no power from the AC power input, the switch facilitates disengaging of the current transformer primary from the outlet.

An electronic device (such as a laptop) may selectively latch a base to a lid using a switchable magnet array. In particular, a drive circuit in the electronic device may apply at least a current pulse to a conductor that generates a magnetic field to reverse a direction of a remnant magnetization in the switchable magnet array. By reversing the direction of the remnant magnetization, the electronic device may selectively increase or decrease a magnetic field generated by the switchable magnet array at an attraction plate in the electronic device. This magnetic field may, in turn, result in an attractive force between the switchable magnet array and the attraction plate, thereby selectively latching the base and the lid when the base and the lid are proximate to each other.

The invention relates to the field of electric appliance insurance, and more specifically relates to a pressure-adjusting type fuse. During normal energization, under the action of an adsorption mechanism, a telescopic mechanism is in contact with a connecting block, and a closed circuit forms. When short-circuit occurs, the temperature rises and the telescopic mechanism protrudes, so that the adsorption mechanism is disconnected, and a stretching mechanism is fully extended to disconnect the connecting block from the telescopic mechanism. The circuit is disconnected to form an open circuit torealize a protection effect. At the same time, the stretching mechanism extends to squeeze a stopper, and the stopper is pressed against an airbag so as to produce gas. The gas is discharged throughthe stretching mechanism. Thus the telescopic mechanism cools down so as to prolong the service life of the fuse. According to the invention, the service life of the fuse can be prolonged; the structure is simple; the cost is low; components are simple and easy to replace; and the long-term usage of the fuse can be ensured.

An electrical center includes a housing and a relay module that is disposed in a well of the housing. The relay module has a lower base, a printed circuit board assembly, plug in electronic components and a cover. The lower base includes a tray having a depending shroud at one end portion and a pair of laterally spaced couplers that are integrally attached to an end wall of the tray. The end portion of the tray that has the depending shroud has a plurality of apertures that extend through the end portion of the tray for receiving terminal portions that extend through the apertures. An opposite end portion of the tray has an upper pedestal that is part of a connector body that extends through the tray to a lower socket. The printed circuit board assembly has a printed circuit board that is attached to the top of the tray near a side edge, a plurality of relays that are attached to an upper portion of the printed circuit board. The relays are electrically connected to a plurality of terminals that are disposed beneath the relays. These terminals have portions that plug into the apertures and terminate in free ends disposed inside the shroud. The relay module also includes plug in electronic components that are plugged into the end portion of tray so that their metal terminal tabs extend through the apertures and into the space inside the shroud. The relay module also includes a main relay that is mounted on the pedestal for electrical connection to a wiring harness that plugs into the lower socket of the connector body. The relay module is retained in the well of the housing by an internal lock bar that engages the couplers at one end and an internal lock nib that engages a flexible lock arm of the relay module the other end.

Electronic pressure switch comprising a pressure sensor and a circuit provided in turn with a switch for the activation/deactivation of an electric pump, an input terminal and an output terminal for connection to the mains and connection between the pressure switch and the electric pump and a microcontroller for controlling the switch, which receives signals from the pressure sensor, wherein the electric circuit comprises a current sensor connected to the microcontroller, so that it can stop the operation of the electric pump due to overcurrent, thus avoiding having to mount a specific sensor in the electric pump. It also allows, by interacting with the pressure sensor through a programmed logic, an operation of the electric pump in no-load condition, without water, as well as water hammers, to be detected with greater reliability.

An electromagnetic switch for a starter includes a coil that includes a first lead wire connected to a power supply side and a second lead wire connected to a ground side, the coil being supplied with an energization current through the first and second lead wires to form an electromagnet while a starter relay is on. Embodiments for electronic device fasteners that enable an electronic device to be reliably and quickly secured on a host board are presented. In one exemplary embodiment, a fastening assembly includes a glider component that supports an electronic device such as an M.2 solid state drive, and slides on tracks installed on a host board to bring a handle bar in a locking position above the electronic device securing the electronic device in place.
